Former MLA Abdullah Azam, who is serving a 7-year prison sentence in the 2 PAN card case, has also been sentenced to 7 years in prison by the court in the 2 passport case. In addition, he has also been fined Rs 50,000.

The troubles have further increased for Azam Khan’s son and former MLA Abdullah Azam. He is already serving a 7-year prison sentence in the 2 PAN card case, and now the court has sentenced him to 7 years in prison for holding 2 passports. In addition, he has been fined Rs 50,000. During the hearing today, Abdullah Azam appeared in court through video conferencing.

It is worth mentioning that the 2 passport case against Abdullah Azam was registered by MLA Akash Saxena at the Civil Lines police station in 2019 itself. He alleged that Abdullah Azam has 2 passports. He had also used one of these passports to travel abroad. This matter was under consideration in the MP-MLA Magistrate Court. Abdullah Azam had approached the Supreme Court to quash the case, but he did not get relief from there. After the Supreme Court’s order, the hearing of the matter resumed.

On December 5, the Rampur court gave its verdict in the 2 passport cases. Former MLA Abdullah Azam was presented in the court for the hearing through video conferencing. The court found him guilty and sentenced him to 7 years in prison and also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000.
