Elon Musk Plans for the Sun

American billionaire Elon Musk, who previously proposed a trip to Mars, has now formulated a plan to save Earth.

Citing futurism, Musk posted a plan on his social network, X (formerly Twitter), describing a plan that’s more reminiscent of science fiction like The Matrix than anything else: “A large system of artificially intelligent solar satellites could prevent global warming by regulating the amount of solar energy reaching Earth.”

This plan is based on his vast network of Starlink satellites—more than 9,000 satellites that currently cover not the Sun, but astronomers’ telescopes.
When a user asked him how such a system could regulate solar radiation without disrupting Earth’s climate balance or causing political conflict, Musk simply replied, “Yes.”

He added, “Stop global warming or global cooling would require only very small adjustments. The Earth has turned into an ice ball many times before.”

But scientists warn that the idea of ”blocking the sun” to control temperatures—called solar geoengineering or solar radiation modification—could have unpredictable and irreversible consequences. Our planet’s climate is a highly complex system, and any interference with solar radiation could trigger unpredictable chain reactions.
