After Facebook, X, YouTube also bows down, pays Trump millions of dollars
Trump accused big technology companies of suppressing conservative voices and political bias
Washington: Video streaming platform YouTube has agreed to a $24.5 million settlement with US President Donald Trump.
The lawsuit was filed when Trump’s account was suspended after the attack on US Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021.
According to the details, YouTube’s owner company Alphabet will give $22 million under this settlement to a non-profit organization called “Trust for the National Mall”, which is raising $200 million to build a new ballroom at the White House. Another $2.5 million will be given to other organizations and individuals who filed a lawsuit with Trump, including the American Conservative Union.
Earlier, Facebook-owned Meta settled with Trump for $25 million in January, while social media platform X (formerly Twitter) settled with Trump for $10 million a month later. Now YouTube has also joined the list.

It should be noted that Trump has accused big technology companies of suppressing conservative voices and political bias. However, now all the big companies are trying to improve their relations and Trump’s accounts have been restored.
