America: Book returned from Greece after 36 years
Harry the Dirty Dog was taken out of a US library on November 6, 1989
A library in the US has been returned a book after 36 years. The book was sent back from Greece after more than three decades.

The Fairfax County Library System in the US state of Virginia posted on Facebook about the return of the book.
In the Facebook post, the library also presented a note from the son of the diplomats who took out the book.
In the note, his son Dmitry said that ‘Harry the Dirty Dog’ was taken out of the library on November 6, 1989 by diplomats living in DC.
He said that the diplomat is now retired in Greece and he found the book on his parents’ shelf. The book traveled around the world and, as can be seen, was taken very well. And now it is being sent back to its home.
The library thanked Dmitry’s parents in the post for taking care of the book and Dmitry for returning it to the library.
