China: Unique 33-hour lying down competition, 23-year-old declared winner
A surprising and unique competition in China has caught everyone’s attention, where a 23-year-old won the lying flat competition by lying down for more than 33 hours.

Lying flat is actually a trend popular among Chinese youth, which means working as little as possible, avoiding pressure and adopting a calm lifestyle, this competition was held inspired by this concept.

The competition took place in a shopping center in Baotou, whose rules were very simple but strict, the participants had to lie down on a mattress continuously and were not allowed to get up, nor to go to the washroom, but they were allowed to change positions, read a book, use their mobile phones and eat while lying on their stomachs.

Since they had to be out of the competition as soon as they got up, most of the participants participated wearing diapers. Out of about 240 participants, 186 people were out on the first day.

After 33 hours and 9 minutes, only three participants remained. To make the competition more difficult, the organizers asked the last three to raise their hands and feet simultaneously. The one who could maintain this position for the longest was the winner, and the 23-year-old finally won. The winners were also given prize money.

According to the young man, his girlfriend advised him to participate in this competition. He says that I had not prepared much and felt like giving up many times, but my girlfriend’s courage kept me in the competition until the end.
