Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been detained.
Rahul Gandhi was detained during a ‘vote theft’ protest march against the amendment of the Bihar voter list. Opposition leaders belonging to the opposition India Alliance were marching towards the Election Commission in New Delhi.
About 300 Indian opposition leaders were marching towards the Election Commission, led by the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi.

‘This is not a war of politics but a war to protect democracy’
In an informal conversation with the media after the arrest, Rahul Gandhi said that when we reached the Election Commission today, members of the India Alliance were stopped and detained.
He said that now vote theft has been exposed in front of the entire country. This is not a war of politics but a war to protect democracy.
He said that the Indian Constitution guarantees ‘one person, one vote’, a transparent voter list should be ensured. We will ensure the protection of the democratic rights of the Indian people at all costs.
