Fake rumors about US President Donald Trump’s death top trend on social media
The rumors intensified when a technical glitch occurred in the official White House live stream and a message appeared on the screen temporarily saying “Stay tuned, we’ll be live again shortly” (again shortly). This message, which lasted only a few moments, further fueled the rumors on social media.

President Trump’s absence from his usual public schedule also fueled the rumors, especially as news of Trump’s death began to trend very quickly on X.
A dark blue mark appeared on Trump’s hand, raising health concerns
In videos and photos that spread rapidly on social media, some users shared a fake clip from The Simpsons cartoon series, which allegedly predicted President Trump’s death.
The video was viewed more than 2.5 million times on Instagram and then went viral on X, however, the executive producer of The Simpsons Matt Selman explained that the footage was fake or AI-generated.
A routine statement by Vice President J.D. Vance was also shared out of context, saying in an interview that if Trump dies, he is ready to take responsibility.
This was actually a traditional statement regarding presidential succession, but users called it a slip of the tongue or an advance warning and went viral.
It should be remembered that President Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean P. Barbabella, confirmed in July 2025 that the president was suffering from Chronic Venous Insufficiency, a common blood circulation problem that is not life-threatening.
The president was declared to be in excellent health in an April 2025 medical report and the results of his mental examination were also completely correct.
This is not the first time that false news of President Trump’s death has been spread, similar rumors trended on social media in 2022. Have done.
