Famous Bollywood actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has revealed his reasons for keeping his daughters, Shakya and Akira, away from the glitz and glamour of Bollywood.

According to 51-year-old Farhan Akhtar, he wants his daughters to achieve success on their own, not because they come from a film family.
It’s worth noting that Farhan Akhtar, son of renowned lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar, has two daughters, Shakya and Akira, with his ex-wife Adhuna Bhabani, whom he shares in raising with his ex-wife.

However, unlike other star kids, Farhan Akhtar keeps his daughters away from fame and media attention. The reason is that he wants his daughters to achieve success on their own, not be labeled as star kids or from a film family.
Speaking to an Indian media outlet about his daughters, Farhan Akhtar said that his daughters are happy and growing up independently.

“We don’t tell them what to do. They will make their own path; they are very confident and intelligent.” He added that if they want to become publicly famous, he wishes them all the best, but it would be better if they achieve this through their own hard work, not because they are someone’s daughter or because they are related to a certain person. “That’s why I keep them away from the film industry.”
