Madhuri raises voice on women’s compensation in the film industry
Bollywood’s former famous actress Madhuri Dixit, while talking about the difference in compensation in the film industry, said that female actors should also get more compensation.

While talking about the issue of inequality in compensation in the film industry, she said that this challenge is not limited to cinema but also in different professions. She further said that the struggle for fair compensation is ongoing and the fight for equal pay is still an important issue in all sectors.
58-year-old Madhuri Dixit has worked in many films with Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. When asked if she ever felt the need to raise her voice for equal compensation during her heyday, she said that inequality is a global reality for women in every field, no matter what field they work in.
She said that women should have equality in compensation wherever they work, including in corporate business. This is not a new issue, everyone is struggling with it.
She said women should be paid more, if not more than men, to balance it out. Her statements reflect a broader debate led by several prominent actresses in recent years.
These actresses include Bhumi Pednekar, Kriti Sanon, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and others, who have spoken out about the wage gap and structural inequality.
