Mark Zuckerberg: You will be crippled without AI glasses in the future
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg claimed that in the future, people who do not use AI glasses will suffer “significant cognitive impairment” compared to others.

According to “Online Information”, citing Fortune, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said during a call for the second quarter financial report of 2025 that in the future, humans will have to use smart glasses to keep up with technological progress. According to him, people who do not use these technologies may suffer more cognitive loss than others in work or competitive environments.
He emphasized that just as regular glasses are necessary for vision correction, AI glasses in the future will be the main way to access and interact with AI and “super intelligence”, an area that Meta is actively working on by investing in a team of distinguished researchers, including Alexander Wang.
Zuckerberg expressed satisfaction with the response to Meta’s smart Ray-Ban glasses, saying that people are also interested in daily use due to their stylish look.
According to EssilorLuxottica, the company that makes these glasses, the revenue from the sale of these glasses has more than tripled compared to last year.
Zuckerberg said that the AI built into the glasses is constantly evolving, and future versions may also have visual displays to provide a more immersive interactive experience. He added, “This will allow you to better interact with AI systems throughout the day—it will see content around you, create interfaces, and display useful information.”
Zuckerberg also said that these technologies can play an important role in realizing Meta’s larger goal of creating a metaverse by combining the digital and physical worlds. He added, “Glasses are a perfect medium to combine these two worlds, and AI will accelerate this path.”
