Nepal, officials have issued an alert on the India-Nepal border
In view of the ongoing protests in Nepal, officials have issued an alert on the India-Nepal border. India’s border security force, the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has increased vigilance and is keeping a close watch on the situation to prevent any kind of unrest spreading into Indian territory.
;l]Officials told ANI that an alert has been issued on the India-Nepal border in view of the protests in Nepal. The Sashastra Seema Bal is keeping a close watch on the developments. Officials stressed that the current alert is of preventive nature and the situation is under control.
Meanwhile Nepal’s Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has resigned from his post following the ongoing protests in the country. According to a report in The Himalayan Times, the Home Minister submitted his resignation to the Prime Minister, taking moral responsibility for the loss of life and property during the protests. He said, “I will not remain in the post on moral grounds.”
