US President Donald Trump’s trade advisor Peter Navarro has once again launched a scathing attack on India. He alleged that India is promoting war by buying oil from Russia. In his latest tweet, he wrote that India is buying oil from Russia on a large scale, which he called ‘blood money’. Navarro says that India did not buy oil from Russia before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but is now buying in large quantities. He said, “This is blood money and people are dying.”

X did a fact check, called Navarro’s post ‘hypocritical’

It cannot be considered a violation of international law. This move was linked to India’s need for energy security. US accused of double standards

An X note also stated that the US imports goods worth billions of dollars from Russia every year, including fertilizers and uranium. Commenting on this, users called Navarro’s allegations a double standard. Despite this, Navarro reiterated that India is buying oil from Russia only for profit and this is a way to finance the war machine.
