Queen Camilla of Britain reveals she was sexually harassed as a teenager
Queen Camilla of Britain has revealed she was sexually harassed as a teenager during a train journey.
This revelation is made in the upcoming book ‘Power and the Palace: The Inside Story of the Monarchy and 10 Downing Street’ by renowned journalist Valentine Lowe. The book will be published on September 11, 2025.
The book claims that Camilla, who was 16 or 17 at the time, was travelling on a train to Paddington when a man started harassing her. Camilla remembered her mother’s advice and, showing her presence of mind, took off her shoe and hit the man. As soon as she reached the station, she filed a complaint with the officer and the attacker was arrested.
The book states that this incident came to light in the past when Camilla was the Duchess of Cornwall. She told her personal story during a meeting with former London Mayor Boris Johnson.
The meeting took place during Johnson’s visit to establish rape crisis centers in London, and Camilla later played a key role in establishing such centers.
Queen Camilla has always raised her voice in favor of victims of violence and sexual assault against women, and she is sponsoring several projects for victims of domestic violence and abuse.
It should be noted that Queen Camilla became queen in 2022, when her husband King Charles II ascended the throne after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
