A Turkish military cargo plane crashed in Georgia, killing all 20 people on board.

According to the Turkish Ministry of Defense from Ankara, the C-130 plane was returning to Turkey from Azerbaijan when the accident occurred in the border area between Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Georgian and Azerbaijani authorities are carrying out rescue operations at the scene of the accident.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his condolences over the plane crash and prayed for forgiveness for the killed.
