Actress Urmila Matondkar gave a gift to her fans on the completion of 30 years of the release of her film Rangeela. On her Instagram on Monday, Urmila shared a video of her dancing to her famous song Rangeela Re from this 1995 film. She also wrote a long note talking about this film directed by Ram Gopal Varma.

In the video, Urmila performed the hook steps of ‘Rangeela Re’ very well. She was seen dancing to Asha Bhosle’s song while standing in the balcony. She wore a blue and white dress and heels. Urmila was seen blushing at the end of the video.

Sharing the video, Urmila wrote, ‘Rangeela… It was never just a film. It was and still is a feeling. Woven with intense joy, hope, dreams, ambition, beauty, excitement, affection, admiration, love and desire, struggle and victory, sacrifice and above all, a grand celebration of life.

Urmila told about the songs of the film. ‘Every scene brings a momentary, childlike smile, which takes us to a world of innocence and wonder. Each song is not just music, but a celebration of Navrasas – the nine emotions of Indian literature and poetry: Shringar (love), Hasya (laughter), Karuna (sorrow), Rodra (anger), Veer (courage), Bhayanak (fear), Vibhatsya (disgust), Adbhut (wonder), and Shanti. The actress spoke about an ‘innocent girl’ who mesmerises the audience with her charm.

She wrote, ‘An innocent girl comes on the silver screen and wins hearts with her charm and purity. Taking the audience on an eternal journey of beauty, poetry, life and love. Thirty years ago today, Rangeela became all yours. And I am sure, even today, it has the power to take you back to that first moment when you laughed, rejoiced and fell in love with its magic.
