What are the hidden symbols hidden in an ancient Roman glass cup?
This cup was made from a single block of glass between 300 and 500 AD
A history professor in the United States has discovered hidden symbols on an ancient Roman cup.

Professor Hayley Meredith of Washington State University has identified unexpected details hidden in an ancient Roman glass cup kept in a private collection.
This cup was made from a single block of glass between 300 and 500 AD. The cup is appreciated as an artistic masterpiece.
After observing, the professor identified symbols such as diamonds, leaves and crosses engraved on the back of the cup.
These symbols were apparently made for decoration, but the professor believes that they were the marks of the makers of this cup.
Professor Hayley has seen similar symbols engraved on other vessels that tell about the culture of glassware of the fourth and sixth centuries AD.
The professor believes that these marks would have served as brand logos of the time.
