Anas Al-Sharif, a journalist for the Qatari news channel Al Jazeera, who was recently killed in an Israeli attack on Gaza City, was targeted a year ago.

According to foreign media reports, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) accused 28-year-old journalist Anas Al-Sharif of being a Hamas activist a year ago, after which the journalist had been targeted by Israeli forces.

According to media reports, Israel presented seized documents as evidence in this regard. However, Al Jazeera denied the Israeli claim and called the attack on the journalists an attack on freedom of the press.

According to Al Jazeera reports, journalist Anas Al-Sharif and his four colleagues were martyred in the Israeli targeted attack late at night in Atura.

They were targeted in a tent set up for journalists at the main entrance of the Gaza hospital.

The UN Secretary-General, human rights organizations, press organizations, and various countries, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the United Kingdom, have strongly condemned the targeted attack on journalists.
