World’s first robot to get pregnant

The project has gained popularity in China due to the growing problem of infertility

The world’s first pregnant robot has recently been proposed, which has become a focus of interest and ethical debate.

Guangzhou-based Kaiwa Technology, China, is developing a humanoid robot that will have an artificial uterus implanted in its stomach.

The project aims to have a humanoid robot perform all the stages of pregnancy and childbirth instead of a uterus.

The robot will nourish the embryo in an artificial fluid, which will be supplied with nutrients and oxygen through a tube, just like the process that occurs in a natural womb.

A prototype of this pregnant robot is planned to be introduced by 2026 and will cost about 100,000 yuan ($14,000).

The project has gained popularity in response to the growing problem of infertility in China, but it is also becoming a topic of debate regarding a number of ethical, legal, and social issues.
