A French court has sentenced a TikTok influencer to prison for the crime of scaring people on the street with an empty syringe as a “prank”.

The TikToker is named Ian.M, who is known by his social media name Amine Mojito. Ian is 27 years old.

Ian made videos since June this year in which he would go up to people and pretend to give them injections, even though the syringe needle was covered and no injection was given.

The videos were made just days before a national holiday when a terrifying rumor about syringes was circulating in France and the public was worried.

The French court sentenced Ian to 12 months in prison, of which 6 months were suspended. He was also fined between 1,500 and 1,700 euros.
